Junior Engineer - Industrial Automation

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Junior Engineer – Industrial Automation to join our automation team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience or academic training in machine automation, PLC programming, and industrial control systems. This role involves supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of automated machinery and production lines.

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing automation solutions for industrial machinery and production systems

• Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of PLC-based control systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues

• Program, test, and modify PLCs and HMIs

• Create and maintain technical documentation including wiring diagrams, control logic, and user manuals

• Conduct machine trials and performance validation under supervision

• Monitor system performance and suggest improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline

• 0–2 years of experience in industrial or machine automation (freshers with relevant project/internship experience may apply)

• Basic knowledge of PLC programming (ladder logic, structured text), HMI development, and SCADA systems

• Understanding of sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)

• Ability to read electrical schematics and interpret control panel layouts

• Familiarity with safety standards and troubleshooting tools in automation systems

• Strong analytical thinking, eagerness to learn, and team collaboration skills
