Since 1998 we’ve engineered automation for industry, and today we build both the B&R automation that runs machines and the electrical systems that power plants. More than 25 years in the making.

From automation for industry in New Delhi to an engineering company serving plants and machine builders across India.

  1. 1998

    Founded

    Rajesh Trivedi, an IIT Madras alumnus, founds Caterpillar Electric in New Delhi to bring automation solutions to Indian industry.

  2. 2000s

    Building the foundation

    Around 2006 we begin working with B&R, engineering its controllers, drives and motion for machine builders. Alongside, we grow into electrical engineering, building the full LT range, from PCC and MCC lineups to AMF and synchronising panels, for customers including IOCL, ONGC, BHEL and ISRO.

  3. Today

    The next generation

    Dheeraj Trivedi joins the business in 2019, bringing a background in technology and management to more than two decades of engineering experience. Two specialist teams now serve manufacturers and machine builders across India.

Mr. Rajesh Trivedi

Founder · IIT Madras

An IIT Madras alumnus, Rajesh Trivedi founded Caterpillar Electric in 1998 with a vision of building an engineering-focused industrial business. His emphasis on technical integrity, quality and long-term customer relationships became the foundation of the company.

Rajesh Trivedi Ji passed away in 2019. His values continue to shape the company today.
